- Paint with light -

This was a very interesting assignment that I would've never thought was possible before this class. For several periods I felt magical being able to illuminate certain parts of the room as I choose and even draw on the air infront of me! Painting with light has been my favorite assignment so far, excluding the whole standing in the dark alone portion of it. This is something that I know I will continue experimenting with on my own time.

- Studio Lighting -

My first experience using studio light was exhilerating. I didnt know what to do first, at, the entire set up was overwhelming and I was certain I wouldnt be able to fabricate a modest lighting. Eventually through trial and error I started to get the hang of it, understanding the use of Ambient light, Main light and Fill lights and even hair light to shape and shadow my subject as I please. - Birth Certificate -

This assignment was enjoyable, enabling me to broaden my creativity in search of distinct letters found in my environment. I was given the chance to explor the school grounds, finding the majority of my letters that compose my name, excluding the first A in my name that I had captured in Mexico. I thoroughly enjoyed this project, giving me the excuse to be the creepy guy who is taking photos in the washroom, my life dream.

Martine Franck

Martine was born in Belgium, and raised in the united states and in England. Her works displays a wide array of diversity, given the excecptional experienciences she has documented in her life abroad. Martine Franck had studied art history in the university of Madrid, and at the École du Louvre in Paris. She traveled from ireland, to Asia, visiting buddist Tibetan children in India and Nepal. Her portfolio inspires me and gives me insight into the many different styles of photograpy. Martine's travel experiences, spanning accross the globe reflects the travel i wish to fulfil in my life. I want to travel across the globe and document my experiences the way she has documented hers. Her work is touching, meaningful and tasteful.
